David Ringholz is a practitioner and educator with more than a decade of teaching and design experience. He began his career as a University research associate where he published extensively in the fields of user-centered product development and design for diversity. This background supports his professional design activities which include graphic design, web development, product design, commercial interior design and limited-run manufacturing. Throughout his award-winning career, he has worked on projects with Coca-Cola, Fossil, Sony-Ericsson, Newell-Rubbermaid, Philips, Sunbeam, Target, Home Depot, and others.

In 2006, the Design Futures Council recognized him as one of the most admired Design Educators in the US. This year, he joins the faculty at Iowa State University as Director of a brand new Industrial Design program.
